Rigid Casters
Rigid casters have a rigid horn and wheel assembly that permits only a straight-line movement. Some varieties of rigid casters are designed with a lock that when engaged, transforms the caster into a swivel style. This makes the rigid casters ideal for business machine displays, computer workstations, and other applications with tight maneuvering. They are available in 300 series stainless steel, making them suitable for use in food processing, hospital, chemical, and industrial applications. The rigid casters can have a bolt-hole stem or with a top plate. Our featured rigid casters have a 4-point universal plate mounts, and choice of neoprene, rubber, polyolefin, thermo-plastic rubber, solid stainless, and polyurethane wheels.
Swivel Casters
Swivel casters have a swivel horn and wheel assembly that will allow rotation through 360°, which permits movement in any direction. Some varieties of swivel casters are designed with a lock that when engaged, transforms the swivel casters into rigid-style. This makes this caster ideal for applications that might require long distances.
